We’ve been doing A LOT it seems lately. We shot an “in studio” DVD recently that I am pretty pumped to see/hear. It was recorded pretty raw and straight in to give it that “live” feel. We don’t plan on doing post-production, so pretty much “What you see is what you get”. I know I flubbed up some stuff, but the atmosphere was pretty “one-take-ish”, so I really don’t care. I think it’s cool when you hear people flub then try to cover it. My favorite is if like a guitar player accidentally hits a sour note. If he does the same thing again, it’s just considered a riff, not a mess-up! I’m sure you’ll hear plently of Micah “riffs”. I hear the DVD is supposed to be finished being put together in March, but I could be wrong. Not sure about a release date on that either (pronounce it “eye-ther”).
We did a Crabb Reunion in KY this past weekend, where after the concert, Zach, Adam, Justin Ellis, and Myself hit the XBOX360 for a little “HALO REUNION”. We whooped Ellis, which is odd because on the Crabb Family bus, Ellis always whooped everyone else. I felt something good rise up in my soul as we all took the lead and Ellis was seconds away from throwing his controller. He has gotten a little rusty with his skills, but I have a feeling he started practicing again once he got home. Ellis, we will take you on again…Anytime, anyplace!
For those of you who don’t do video games, I suggest that you quit your jobs and drop out of any educational facility you might be attending and take them up. I use to not be a big gamer, but now I have joined the nerd ranks. Go to the gym often? Forget about it. Let me tell you, there’s no greater thumb workout than playing Halo for 2 hours! Your thumbs will be ripped!
Well, I’m out for now. But I’ll leave you with a few one-liners Zach and I have come up with over the past couple weeks. Not funny, but make you think, nonetheless…
-I hate complainers.
-You know what really gets to me? Mail. Oxygen.
-You know what grinds my gears? Shifting straight from first to reverse.
-You know what gets under my skin? Ticks.
-You know what gets on my nerves? Electrodes.
-I can’t stand sitting.
-Hemorrhoids are a pain in the butt.
-You know what’s cool? Ice. Liquid Nitrogen.
-I hope when you say “calzone”, you are talking about a space designated for livestock, because I can’t stand Italian food.
There’s more where that came from. Keep reading!
It’s about time Skipper!
=D
I’m so happy for you!
