It’s About Time…

Filed under: Uncategorized — Micah @ 5:11 am

I haven’t posted in a great while, and for that I am really sorry! It’s crazy how many people get on here on a daily basis. Even though you don’t comment on anything, seems like a TON of you from concert to concert want a new blog, so I present a new blog… I will start by giving some news of what’s going on with the Revival. We just got home from a weekend out following the National QUARTET Convention, which we attended, but still sort of confuses me, because ever since we picked up Jed, we are no longer a quartet. We are a quintet…BUT, I guess if Bill Gaither can do it, so can we. It was fun getting to see a bunch of friends we don’t get to see too much. It’s crazy how people change. I mean that in a good way. I really mean that in a way that makes me proud. You meet some people sometimes that seem to be approaching life in a way that’s very unwise, and then, when you see them again, and they seem to be getting their head on straight, you feel good, you know? Some people find that spiritual and mental growing at some point, and when they start to grasp it, you know they’re gonna be okay.

Zach and Amanda are having a baby boy! I’m excited about it! I knew it was a boy when Zach told me she was pregnant. I just knew. SO, here in a few months, we’ll have a little Zach walking around. Well, probly not WALKING around, but you never know. Living on a bus will make your survival skills kick in quickly.

We’ve got some questions and I will post MY answers for a few of them here. As far as everyone else’s answers, they’ll have to get on here and post them at some point. I’ll be sure to whack them in the shins with a metal pipe until they do. So, here we go:

1. Q: Ok. What is the biggest move of God, upon YOUNG people, yall have ever seen as a group? And not Winterfest…. I know about that. lol. And heres another one: What is the most embarrassing thing you have ever done on stage?

A: Man, that’s hard to answer. We see it alot, and more and more teens and young adults are coming out. We have a big focus on them. More so than ever. I don’t think we have seen the biggest move of God, yet, but everytime we get to pray with people, especially people that want to accept Jesus for the first time, it’s a huge move for me. It ruins me for the rest of the night. There’s something very humbling and very satisfying about leading someone to Jesus. I always feel like I am getting saved again in the process!… The most EMBARRASSING thing that I’ve ever done on stage… Someone asked us this same question in an interview the other day, and we all blanked, even though embarrassing things happen night after night. Probably not the most embarrassing, but once, we were playing a festival outside, and I got sick and had to run off stage and throw up. It was in the middle of some worship songs, and by the time I came back, only Jed knew that I had left the stage. Guess I picked a good moment!

2. Q: Kewl, Other than line up, how is traveling as Crabb Revival different than traveling as the Crabb Family. What is your favorite song from the Runaway Train disc? Thanks, God Bless You!

A: Good question! Well, for starters the bus has about 76 people less on it now! Haha. With the family, you had everyone! We had 2 buses for awhile, which spaced out things, but with kids and friends and other family members riding a lot, space was lacking, but it was all good! We had a TON of fun in the most crowded situations! Also, with so many people, the family seemed to be on a more strict time schedule for each day. There was always so much that had to be done and everyone had to be certain places at certain times. We still have to be certain places sometimes, but it’s a little more lenient. If someone feels like stopping at Taco Bell and grabbing a burrito, I’m sure it wouldn’t be any deal in the Revival bus!… My favorite song on the Train album is probably Both Sides. It’s really fun to play live. Got a really swampy, slinky groove, and the lyrics are pretty awesome.

3. Q: Ok, I’ve got two! 1. What is the strangest thing a fan has ever given you? 2. Do you guys speak in tongues? (hahaha, ok, I’m like totally dying to know this…rumor has it ya’ll are holy rollers…) Ok, those are mine!

A: Hmm. Once, a girl gave me a shirt that had a cuss word across the back. She didn’t see it, so she was innocent, but I got a kick out of it. Then, I was like, “I can’t wear this.” I also got some shoes made out of neckties. Those were flippin’ cool! Still got them, but only wear them on special occasions, cause I don’t wanna mess them up! Speaking in tongues? The Crabbs have been known to speak in tongues from time to time. Personally, I have never spoke in tongues. I haven’t been blessed with that gift, but if God sees it relevant for me to have, then I take any gift He has for me! Holy Rollers? I assume that’s a staple reference to the charasmatic movement. Whatever we are, we just want to see God move. If we go somewhere and play a concert and people walk away going, “Those guys were really good musicians and I was really entertained tonight.”, then it was pointless for us to be there. We are called to reach the world and we use our God-given gifts to do that. We don’t want to see anybody leave a Revival concert the same. Even the strongest Christian on earth needs encouragement and a fresh word. We hope to be hidden behind Jesus when we’re on stage and just let Him do what He wants with us, however He wants to do it. Nothing scares us, though. If you worship God by doing jumping jacks while eating animal crackers, you are welcome at a Crabb Revival concert.

4. Q: Hey when will you all be touring near Baltimore, Maryland or Lancaster, Pennsylvania? ‘Just discovered your group and would love to attend a concert someday!

A: Hey! Not sure, but you can always check our schedule. Just click on our tour link and it will tell you where we’re going to be! We’d love to see you come out to a concert!

Alright everyone! That’s all for now. Does anyone else think that Cousin Oliver on the Brady Bunch might have been a girl?

YeeHaw,

Micah
